Naomi Campbell, was the cover girl for the May 2016 Sissue of Vogue Brazil, and killed it, but what’s really new here? The queen of the catwalk is one of my favorite OG supermodels from the 90’s, and continues to blow me away with her fierce modeling skills. I thought this cover along with the spread was dope, and loved that she rocked her natural kinks and curls for this shoot. I think it was really what set her apart from past shoots that she has done, seeing that she normally wears her hair straight with bangs coming down on her face. It was definitely a refreshing change from her signature look with her huge natural afro.
Shot by photographer Gui Paginini, Naomi looked flawless with her berry red lips and while wearing a variety of looks throughout this editorial. As you know, I love androgyny, so that naturally was the first thing that caught my eye. The oversized hoodie and sweat combo was so simple, yet worked well with the platform boots, which had a very Vetements vibe. The long sequin trench coat sweeping the floor with baggy jeans is what really sold me out of all of her outfits with the coat really elevating her otherwise casual look.
What did you guys think of this editorial?
